The health and physical education program is designed to help instill in each student an overall belief in the importance of physical fitness and living a healthy life.

Health

The health curriculum focuses on topics such as nutrition, personal hygiene, fitness, and dental health. Guest speakers are often utilized in health classes to talk about a variety of different health-related topics, thus bringing the content to life.  All lower school students have health class once a week.

Physical Education

By engaging in meaningful physical activity through team, partner, and individual sports/activities, students acquire fundamental motor and movement skills (body management, locomotion, and object-control) in order to build competence and confidence in their abilities. Motor memory is an important component of learning, especially in the area of physical education. Therefore, students engage in physical education three times per week.
