30-Hour In-Person Course in
MULTISENSORY STRUCTURED LITERACY
Adults will enjoy this hands-on, interactive workshop and leave with a deep understanding of multisensory language and literacy instruction.

Includes a teaching manual, digital workbook of resources, and certificate of completion (for those who qualify)

Participants are eligible to receive three (3) graduate credits (Notre Dame of Maryland University) upon successful completion of the course, for an additional fee.

Participants Will:

  • Learn and understand the neural basis of reading development 
  • Explore all components of the acquisition of literacy, including oral language development, phonology (phonological & phonemic awareness, phonics), word recognition, spelling, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension
  • Understand the fundamentals of an Orton-Gillingham (O-G) based lesson and the components of multisensory structured literacy instruction
  • Participate in a dyslexia simulation
  • Understand the early warning signs often displayed by students with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences
  • Make useful hands-on materials and games to enhance instruction for all students
