Summer at Jemicy
Camp Jemicy is a 5-week, co-ed day camp for students age 6 - 14 run by Jemicy School, a leader in the education of children with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences.

Camp Jemicy’s separate Moose (for campers grades 1-5) and Viking (for campers grades 6-9) programs enable age-appropriate programming targeting the skill levels and interests of our campers. The Moose and Viking Camp programs operate individually from one location – Jemicy’s Upper School Campus.
Camp Jemicy
  • Provide structured, multisensory instruction focused on maintaining skills and minimizing summer learning loss
  • Build self-esteem and promote individual growth
  • Offer an exciting and enjoyable social and activity-based camp experience

  • Jemicy teachers – skilled and trained in various multisensory reading programs approved by The International Dyslexia Association – comprise the majority of the camp’s tutoring staff; they are experts in the field!

Camp Jemicy
Mix a bit of abracadabra and hocus-pocus with a lot of instruction, imagination and creativity and you get magic…the Camp Jemicy way. Again, this summer, Camp Jemicy Viking campers were challenged by the wizard of Upper School photography, teacher Leslie Furlong, to create a “MAGICAL” stop motion, animation movie (using the iPad app iMotion) during their arts class project. Click below to enjoy watch the campers make magic!
